Over the Hump OC Races

For you mountain bikers with a little end of the season energy left over, there’s a new midweek Mountain Bike Race series in Orange County just announced this week. Rock N' Road Cyclery has joined Over the Hump, as a sponsor and will be supporting the event. Help us support this important milestone in Orange County as a regular weekly series. This year there are two events, and next year Over the Hump will be a weekly summer race series.

2009 Schedule: Wednesday, August 26. 2009 & Thursday, September 17, 2009Location: Irvine Lake, Orange, CA (see website for directions)Times: 6pm Race start (4:00pm on-site registration.)Course: 4-6 mile XC loop throughout the Irvine Lake Area. Course consists of a mix of single track and fire roads. Climbs and various obstacles throughout. Number of laps vary by classes. Beginner [1 lap], Sport [2 laps], Expert [3 laps]

Wednesday Mountain Bike Ride

All riders are welcome! This particular ride is design to bring out the the distinct difference of riding in the OC. People of all levels are turning up to ride the most popular trails in Orange County. The leaders Matthias & John are happy to help riders of all levels to understand to the art of riding & experience new trails weekly. Slow, fast, experienced, clumsy (as I am) riders are welcomed.
