Ironman World Champion Chris "Macca" McCormack Calls the Specialized Transition his Unfair Advantage

Make sure to read a quick article below why an Ironman World Champion, an Olympic Gold Medalist, and several superstar triathletes and why they choose to only ride the Specialized Transition!

Ironman World Champion Chris "Macca" McCormack calls the Transition his unfair advantage, and the wind tunnel doesn't disagree. Every inch of this bike is aerodynamically engineered to eliminate drag, spare energy and shave seconds from your time. Ridden by international superstar triathletes Terenzo Bozzone, TJ Tollakson, and local Taiwan star Craig Johns. Most notably, the transition is the weapon of choice for the TT Olympic Gold medalist, Fabian Cancellara.   To check out the whole story, click HERE!

Specialized 2010 Stumpjumper Blog - Join the Conversation

We have started a new blog that deals specifically with all things Stumpjumper. At this time it is mostly information about the 2010 Stumpy, but we are very interested in inviting owners or those who want to own a Stumpjumper to add their own comments or even potentially write your own post. It is our goal to make this new Stumpjumper blog the most complete location on the web for information, opinions, and advice about Stumpjumpers.

We are also looking for original video footage of Stumpy's handling the trails.

NOTE FROM IRVINE CONSERVATORY:

It's hard not to ride a sweet trail hiding behind 'Do Not Enter' sign or explore an unused or new trail. But you got to have respect for nature and the rules. Irvine Conservancy emailed our Team President about unauthorized riding on their land. If you are riding mtn bikes on closed land, please stop immediately before the land is taken away from everyone's use.

Email:

Several months ago the City of Irvine and the Irvine Ranch Conservancy suspended self guided mountain biking on monthly access days in the City of Irvine's Open Space Preserve. The reason, the level of unauthorized mountain biking was out of control in areas that were not open 7 days dawn to dusk. The mountain bike community threw a fit. Mountain bike riders posted negative things on message boards, mountain bike clubs contacted us, mountain bike volunteers argued with us, but in the end the unauthorized mountain bike access declined. Once it declined self guided mountain biking was reinstated on the monthly self guided access days. Within one week of reinstating self guided mountain biking to access days there was a spike in unauthorized mountain bike access and it still continues up to today

This included:
• Riders tearing down "closed for restoration" signs and riding through a restoration area. This area has been closed off for two years and is well on its way to being restored.
• Illegal night riding
• Individual riders attending a docent led ride to then return on multiple occasions illegally
• A rider scouting the reopening of a closed trail
• Multiple riders riding past multiple docent only area signs the purpose of this e-mail is so all of you are aware of whom these people are the next time the mountain biker user group is excluded from using an area. Do not blame the land owner or the land manager. Blame these people; they are the ones responsible for much of the mountain biking problems in Orange County.
