John Bain (Mr. Cool): Manager Mission Viejo
John has been in the cycling industry for over 11 years. He's always been a little different, but we love him anyway.
"I held the Guinness World record for creating the 'World's Largest Rubber Band Ball' from 1999 to 2007. I was also a National Champion Artistic Roller Skater and I'm an avid unicyclist," said John.
"Rock N' Road is the most reputable race-level bicycle store in Southern California. I come to work every day with a smile on my face; I love to 'talk cycling' with our customers."
John's next goal is to compete in the Hawaiian Ironman Triathlon. He's so focused we're sure he will achieve whatever goals he sets for himself. Stop by and talk to John about bikes (or unicycles, or rubber bands, or roller skating, or whatever else may come up!)

DIVAS ROCK LAGUNA NIGUEL!!
More than 75 ladies invade Rock N' Road Laguna Niguel for "Diva Night"!
Thursday, October 28th-- They came for great food & wine, camaraderie, and of course SHOPPING! One lucky lady even went home with a free Specialized Mountain Bike. WOW!
"We had a contest to see who could get 'ready to ride' first", said Meredith Ford, Diva extraordinaire.
"There were 6 groups who had to quickly complete a list of tasks--put on pedals, change tubes, install wheels and a bottle cage, pack a seat bag, lube the chain, and then get dressed and straddle the seat."
There were a few blown tubes, but the groups worked quickly and furiously to get the job done well! The winning group was the 'Cogettes' (photographed). Each member of the group won $20 Diva Dollars to be used in the store.
All ladies in attendance received special discounts on their shopping selections, and cool prizes were raffled off all night-including a Thule Rack and a NiteRider light.
Divas were able to mingle with the owners of "women-owned" companies such as Tough Chik and Hoo Ha Ride Glide. Amy Shreve from Specialized was also on hand to answer questions specific to women's cycling.
"This was one of the best events we've ever had!" said Tracie Stephenson, sales associate from Rock N' Road Mission Viejo.
"Everyone had SO much fun-there was lots of participation and lots of new faces! Divas brought non-riding friends who want to join in because they've heard all about the great times we have when we get together. We're hoping to have all our new friends join us on our next ride."
The Divas schedule regular rides and you shouldn't miss any of the action! Check them out on Facebook (this is where the NEW DIVA JERSEY will be unveiled!):
