Just as a reminder:
Mark your calendar for our Beginner Ride Season Finale, Saturday 10/24/2009. Most of our regulars have meanwhile advanced their skills and fitness, so the planned 18mile loop at 7500 feet above sea level, is going to be a piece of cake ! But don’t worry, this is going to be a ride for EVERYONE, so we will make plenty of stops at a slow pace. ( or split into two groups, with different speeds …)
Also as the days are getting shorter, we really have to start our rides on time to get at least 60-80 Minutes true riding time.
Details for this weeks Wednesday ride:
Just one day after the “Over The Hump Race Series” we will take it very easy at Peters Canyon. This is also PERFECT for “First Timers “!
8548 E. Canyon View Avenue, Orange CA 92869
Meet at 5:15pm in the parking lot of the main entrance (there will be again a $3 parking fee), you should be able to spot us with our Sho-air/Sonance/Team Velosport Jersey’s.
Here is a link to a map of Peters Canyon Regional Park and some further information:

Planning to start the ride at 5:30pm after a short introduction to safety rules.
The ride is targeted to beginners, but for sure all skill levels are invited. Most trails are flat, fire roads or wide single track. This time we will do a little twist to our regular route: How about going in reverse direction ? Lake View Trail – Lower Peter’s Canyon Trail – Eucalypto Trail – East Ridge View Trail – Lake View Trail. If requested, we will show you some tricks and riding techniques for more efficient pedaling and body position,….
Please email John Dang (jdang158@gmail.com) or myself for any further questions and to be honest, we would like to know how many people will show up, so a “RSVP” would be nice but not mandatory…
Future planned Rides:
09/23 Whiting Ranch (we might already need at least rear lights for the last 15minutes ….)
09/30 Get lights, this one definitely will end without daylight!
We always post details for the next ride late Sunday on this website.
Looking forward to this one, because it is a lot of fun and always very popular for the first mountain bike ride.
