FULL MOON MOUNTAIN BIKE RIDE!

Over 60 riders brave the cold!
Monday November 22 -- Oh, the weather outside was frightful, but the ride was so delightful. Our first "Full Moon" mountain bike ride attracted over 60 riders on a cold but clear Monday night.
"It was 44 degrees - but it was so much fun, I didn't even feel cold. It was so cool to see the train of lights going up the mountain," said Derek Smith, sales associate at Irvine.
The Niterider crew was out with their demo truck. They outfitted 38 riders with lights to guide their way up the Santiago Truck Trail. It was the largest group of mountain bikers they've ever seen on a night ride! They're certain to be back at our next night ride on December 21. Be sure to save the date and join us-- we know you'll have a great time, and you can work off some of those extra holiday calories!

December Events

Dec. 18 -- 4th Annual Hunger Ride: Starts at 8am at Rock n' Road Irvine. This is a challenging 33 mile ride through scenic Santiago Canyon. Bring canned food to win cool prizes! Last year we collected 2939 lbs. of food, which produced 2261 meals for the homeless in Orange County. Our ride is sponsored by Second Harvest Food Bank (www.feedoc.org). We'll also have collection barrels at each Rock n' Road location all month, be sure to stop by and do your part to combat hunger! Together we can make a difference. Dec. 21 --Full Moon Mountain Bike Ride: Meet at Cook's Corner at 7:30pm. This is a 2-2 ½ hour moderately paced ride up the Santiago Truck Trail and down The Luge. Contact Jeff at 949-360-8045 or Jeff@rocknroadcyclery.net.
